Abstract
2-(Substituted 1H-indol-2-yl)-5-phenyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole was prepared by reacting Substituted 1H-indole-3-carbohydrazide with phosphorus pentasulfide thionating agent and solid- supported NafionNR50 to produce triethyl orthoformate, triethyl orthoproponate, and triethyl orthobenzoate. The reaction was catalyzed by phosphorus pentasulfide, as well as solid- supported NafionNR50. The products were then examined for their antimicrobial properties.Elements and spectrum analysis were used to determine the novel products' structure. It was investigated how the goods' structures related to how active they were against specific microbes, and encouraging findings were found.
