Abstract
This paper explores the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools to enhance language teaching effectiveness in Urdu medium schools. The Urdu language, with its rich cultural and historical significance, plays a pivotal role in the educational landscape. However, the conventional methods of language instruction often face challenges in engaging students and fostering comprehensive language skills. In response to these challenges, this study investigates the potential impact of incorporating ICT tools into Urdu language classrooms. The study focuses on diverse ICT tools, including interactive software, multimedia resources, and online platforms, tailored to address the unique linguistic needs of Urdu learners.
The findings of the research highlight the positive influence of ICT tools on various aspects of language learning, such as vocabulary acquisition, reading comprehension, and oral communication. Additionally, the study evaluates the perceptions of educators and students regarding the usability and efficacy of these tools in the Urdu medium context. This paper contributes valuable insights into the realm of language education, offering practical recommendations for educators, curriculum designers, and policymakers interested in optimizing language teaching methodologies in Urdu medium schools.
