Abstract
Arun Kolatkar, a literary luminary in Indian literature, presents a unique lens through which one views the complexities of the modern world. His works, characterized by a blend of myth, tradition, memory and urban life, resonate with the chaotic yet vibrant essence of contemporary existence. This paper endeavors to delve into Kolatkar's life and literary oeuvre, analyzing the ways in which his poetry and prose reflect and comment upon the multifaceted aspects of the modern world using myths as the means to depict contemporary reality.
