Abstract

Since last so many years’ people are more oriented towards the societal benefit and upliftment of the people as a whole. Considering that drastic shift has been seen in the conscious investing or socially responsible investing. SRI focuses on benefiting the society and takes the responsibility due to its nature of working. This paper aims to highlight a trend in favor of investors being more conscious of socially responsible investing. This increased awareness was greatly influenced by elements including media coverage, business initiatives, and public worries about environmental and social issues. At the end it also indicates that education and communication level of people secures value in headway of SRI and also indicates potential opportunities for the financial firms to bring more products in the line with SRI fundamentals.
