Abstract

English language comes first among various foreign launguages. The English language teaching has widened in educational system. The latest technologies such as computers, Internet, emails, electronic devices, blogs, PPTs and mobiles play a vital role. This paper explores the use of multimedia technology in English language teaching and create a context to teach English. The integration of the multimedia in teaching learning process demands very reflexive, pragmatic and experimental approach which places the learner at the centre of learning process. This means that the participants have to find their own individual access to information for constructive knowledge, Therefore they need appropriate and individual strategies which will enable them to be active and critical learners.

A bigger feature of multimedia teaching is to train and develop students’ ability to listen and speak, and to improve their communicative abilities in the language classrooms. Using multimedia in context creates a good platform for the exchange between teachers and students. The use of multimedia allows the teachers to have more flexibility and modulation while teaching and the development of multimedia allows the teacher to understand the learning methods and differences of students when teaching. I would like to focus on the effect of using technology in enhancing the English language skills and its significant effect on the learning process.
