Reinterpreting Nehru In A Globalized Era
Main Article Content
Abstract
This research paper explores how Jawaharlal Nehru wove socialist ideals into the broader pursuit of social justice in post-colonial India. It traces the historical roots of his vision, which was shaped by colonial oppression, the freedom struggle, and the urgent need to build an equitable nation after independence. The paper examines how ideas of Nehru interacted with later waves of globalization, questioning how neoliberal policies have affected equity and inclusion. At the same time, it highlights why commitment of Nehru to fairness, dignity, and collective progress continues to resonate today, influencing social movements, policy debates, and global conversations on justice and development.
