Abstract
This study examines the factors influencing insurance awareness and purchase decisions among educational employees in Thoothukudi District, Tamil Nadu. The research explores demographic variables, socioeconomic factors, and behavioral determinants that affect insurance literacy and acquisition patterns among public and private sector educators. Using primary data collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS, the study reveals significant relationships between income levels, educational qualifications, institutional type, and insurance awareness. The findings provide insights for insurance providers and policymakers to develop targeted strategies for improving financial literacy and insurance penetration among educational professionals.
