Abstract

The quick adoption of artificial intelligence in learning has changed the conventional methods of teaching by bringing on board customized, modulative, and interactive learning experiences. This paper will discuss how AI-based gamified learning tools affect student achievement and how student engagement is related to the utilization of gamified learning tools. The research design adopted was descriptive with mixed-method research design, primary data was collected through a structured questionnaire and 110 respondents were used. The independent variables were AI-based gamified learning tools and the engagement of students whereas the academic performance was the dependent variable. The data were discussed with SPSS 22.0, and the descriptive statistics, regression analysis, ANOVA, and correlation methods were used. The findings indicated that AI-driven gamified learning tools had a statistically significant and positive impact on academic performance, and the regression model proved the presence of the predictive validity. Moreover, it was identified that there was a moderate and significant positive correlation between AI-powered gamified learning tools and student engagement, which means that the higher the engagement of the tools, the more they are used. The results indicate that gamification with the help of AI improves motivation, continued involvement, and the effectiveness of learning, contributes to better academic performance. The paper identifies the pedagogical importance of implementing AI-assisted gamified learning applications in the learning environments and focuses on how this instrument could be useful in facilitating customized learning and performance-based education.
