It has a significant influence on literature and shapes reader’s impression of diversity and inclusion. Moreover, it has played a greater role in fostering a more comprehensive understanding of sexuality and gender. Queer theory has influenced the evolution of both the legal and political systems such as the recognition of same sex marriage and the growth of LGBTQ rights. The internet has had a significant contribution to the diffusion of lesbian fiction, since several writers have independently published their works online in the form of E-books. The availability of lesbian literature has been made possible by the existence of online groups and publications.
