This research investigates the correlation between fact and fiction in online series such as "Scoop," "Jamtara," "Rangbaaz," "Delhi Crime," and "House of Secrets." It provides valuable insights into the intricate realm of web-based storytelling. These stories include all facets of Indian storytelling, spanning from principles of journalism to illicit activities. They effectively blur the boundaries between reality and fiction. The research emphasizes the emotional impact, genuineness, and significance that true stories elicit in audiences, while also acknowledging concerns about the reinforcement of stereotypes and harmful actions.
