Abstract

This study investigates the impact of government-sponsored schemes on the upliftment of rural communities in Uttar Pradesh, India. Through a comprehensive literature review and explorative analysis, this research assesses the effectiveness, challenges, and socio-economic implications of key schemes such as the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY), and Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDUGKY). The literature review highlights the role of these schemes in addressing rural poverty, unemployment, housing, agriculture, and skill development, while also identifying implementation challenges and areas for improvement
