Abstract





This study aims to identify the role of maternal and child healthcare in reducing child mortality in Algeria by analyzing the health status of mothers and children in the country. It examines the availability of comprehensive medical care for mothers and their children before and after birth, including routine check-ups, health education, vaccination, and other health practices. The study concludes that these practices are essential for maintaining children's health and reducing mortality rates. Furthermore, it emphasizes the need to improve the effectiveness of healthcare services and enhance child health outcomes in the country by strengthening healthcare infrastructure, increasing awareness, and developing appropriate health policies.
