Cognitive Distortions And Their Relationship To Career Decision-Making Among Second-Year Psychology Students At The Cherif Bouchoucha University Center, Aflou.

Abstract
The current study aims to reveal the level of cognitive distortions among university students, and their relationship to the skill of making future career decisions, as the researchers used the descriptive correlational approach in the course of the research, where the study was applied to a community and a sample of (86 male and female students) of second-year psychology students at the Cherif Bouchoucha University Center, Aflou- Algeria. To collect information, the cognitive distortions scale tool of Malia Abd Erazzak Saleh Eddine and the career decision-making scale of Omaima Mustapha were used in the study, and the following hypotheses were set for the study:
- The level of cognitive distortions among second-year psychology students at the Cherif Bouchoucha University Center -Aflou is low.
- There is no statistically significant correlation between cognitive distortions among students and their career decision-making.
- There are no differences in the level of cognitive distortions due to gender (male and female students).
- There are no differences in the level of cognitive distortions due to the nature of upbringing and residence (urban - rural).
The results reached were as follows:
- There is a high level of cognitive distortions among second-year psychology students at the Cherif Bouchoucha University Center -Aflou;
There is also a statistically significant and inverse correlation between cognitive distortions among students and their career decision-making;
There are differences in the level of cognitive distortions due to the gender factor (male and female students) in favor of males (males have more distortions than females), and no differences were recorded in the level of cognitive distortions due to the nature of upbringing and residence factor (urban - rural).
