El liderazgo transformacional para impulsar la innovación en las pymes textiles

Abstract
Nowadays, innovation is positioned as a significant axis to boost the development and competitiveness of SMEs, so a leadership style that promotes it is required in the face of the need to face the constant changes in the context experienced by contemporary society. Therefore, the objective of this research was to determine the influence of transformational leadership on innovation, taking as object of study the textile SME of the state of Tlaxcala, Mexico. The methodology consisted of analyzing the characteristics of the transformational leadership of Robbins and Judge, (2013) and the innovation criteria of Samaniego and Schermerhom. For this purpose, a diagnosis was made to measure the perception of the variables. Subsequently, a variance analysis, a Tukey test and a multiple linear regression analysis were performed. The results revealed that inspirational motivation and intellectual stimulation influence in a decisive and significant way the development of innovation. It is concluded that these dimensions must be an inherent part of leadership in the textile SME, with the objective of developing a culture that fosters innovation in an implicit and natural way.
