Abstract

Environmental threats represent a global challenge with social, economic and health dimensions in addition to those related to food production and safety. As climate change has become one of the most widespread threats and one of the most prominent factors impeding efforts to achieve food security, its effects are not limited to food production only, but go beyond that to economic, social and health aspects that threaten social stability and the well-being of individuals.
This article aims to shed light on food security, which has become one of the most important global challenges faced by countries, especially in light of the increasing environmental threats that affect the ability of societies to produce and provide sufficient food sustainably, and therefore the concept of food security will be addressed by focusing on the most important axes on which it is based by addressing its dimensions in light of the growing threats to it, and the growing interest in food, its availability, distribution, quality and sustainability at the global level.
