Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has underscored the importance of intellectual property rights in protecting pharmaceutical innovations. This study examines the role of trade secrets in safeguarding COVID-19 vaccines and the intervention of regulatory authorities in enforcing these rights. The research highlights the advantages of trade secrets, including unlimited protection periods and lower costs, and underscores the significance of regulatory authority intervention in preventing unauthorized use or disclosure of confidential information. The study's findings have implications for pharmaceutical companies, regulatory authorities, and policymakers seeking to balance innovation with public health needs.
