Abstract

Social media is the term used to describe the ways in which individuals connect with one another in virtual communities and networks, creating, sharing, and/or exchanging ideas. The primary accounts on Facebook, X/Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube are run by the Office of Communications and Marketing. Being social has become a fundamental human need and trait. Put differently, social media encompasses online platforms and applications that enable users to produce and distribute information, engage with others, and establish communities by establishing connections and exchanging messages with other users through Messages, posts, tweets, videos, GIFs, memes, and other multimedia content are shared, opinions, ideas, and thoughts are expressed through posts and comments, groups, pages, and online communities are created based on interests and subjects, companies, brands.
