Analysing Student Teachers’ Perception Of Using Oer

Abstract
This paper explores the student teachers’ perception of the use of OER in their teaching-learning process. The study aims to find out the student teachers’ attitude towards OER practices, the quality of the content, the cost of the resources, perceptions, and the use of OER in professional courses like B.Ed. course. Data were collected from the student teachers after providing the questionnaire to the students in a Google form. The findings of the present study highlighted the student teachers’ perception and attitude toward the uses of OER, the quality of content of the OER, costs, and adoption of OER into teacher education courses. The perception of female student teachers (M=38.470, SD = 3.76) is higher than the perception of male student teachers (M=37.5, SD= 4.225) was not significant as t = -1.012, d.f. = 68. The result depicts that there is a significant difference between the perception of male and female student teachers toward the use of OER. The current study has significance for teacher training institutes in their endeavour to increase the integration of open educational resources (OER) into teacher education curricula.
